Zak, if used intelligently glass facades can enhance the look of the building but in my experience, architects often use it as a lazy way of designing the facades whether it is appropriate for the design or not. Also, glass facades are used extensively in climes where it may drive up energy costs and efficient solutions are available using other forms of facades.
